About the event
Guitarist and composer Charbel Haber combines experimental electronic tunes with rock. Haber’s new solo To make the judges cry is a mélange of prepared electric guitar sounds processed through guitar pedals.




Charbel Haber is a musician and composer, born in Beirut in 1978.
Founding member of Lebanese post-punk group Scrambled Eggs since 1998. Also a member of free improvisation trio BAO, and the XEFM collective.
Active within the Lebanese free improvisation scene and part of the MILL association since 2002, and it's anual international festival "Irtijal".
He also runs the experimental music record label Those Kids Must Choke since 2004.
He has also collaborated with musicians and artists such as Michael Zerang, Gene Coleman, Justice Yeldham And The Dynamic Ribbon Machine, Jean Pallandre, Laurent Grappe, Tadahiko Yokogawa, Discipline, Stephane Rives, Mazen Kerbaj, Sharif Sehnaoui, David Stackenas, Christine Sehnaoui, Raed Yassin, Mats Gustafsson...
Haber's work extends to the world of  film and video art, as a solo artist, and with Scrambled Eggs, composing the soundtracks of films such as "A Perfect Day" and "Je Veux Voir" by directors Khalil Joreige and Joanna Hadji Thomas, "Jeunes et Innocents" and "Le Liban En Automne" by director Nadim Tabet and collaborating with video artists such as Lamia Joreige and Akram Zaatari.
