About the event
Beirut Art Center invites you to an encounter with novelist Hassan Daoud around his most recent novel One Hundred Eighty Sunsets in which Dr. Ahmad Beydoun and Dr. George Dorlean will present two interventions surrounding the book and the novelist himself will read some of its passages.



Hassan Daoud
A Lebanese novelist, Hassan Daoud has published eight novels and two collections of short stories. His novels have been translated into English, French, German and Italian. Currently, he is the editor of the cultural supplement of the Lebanese newspaper Al Mustaqbal.


Ahmad Beydoun
Lebanese writer Ahmad Beydoun was a professor of Sociology at the Lebanese University. Beydoun has published about 15 books (in Arabic and French) that range in topic from Lebanese society and Lebanon’s political system to issues relating to the Arabic language and Arab culture.


George Dorlean
University professor and literary critic, specialized in the Lebanese novel.
