Ciné-Concert: The Light We See Is No Longer There

The Light We See Is No Longer There is a summer cine-concert programme that
explores light as both a physical phenomenon and a condition of perception.

Each screening brings together a silent film and a newly commissioned live musical
performance, creating a space where image, sound, sky, and city enter into dialogue.

Presented outdoors after sunset on the rooftop of Beirut Art Center, the programme
unfolds beneath a night sky where celestial, urban, and technological forms of
illumination coexist.

Through film and music, the series reflects on how contemporary
experiences of visibility, distance, memory, and uncertainty shape the way we
encounter the world.
