Raymond & Bastien Boni meet Sharif Sehnaoui & Tony Elieh (France/Lebanon)
Electric guitars & electric basses The Boni family holds a very special place in the French free jazz and improvisation map, drawing influence equally from Django Reinhardt and Cecil Taylor. Active since the early 70s, Raymond quickly became an essential figure in modern and innovative jazz, collaborating with the likes of Joe McPhee and releasing his music on the impressive hat art catalogue. Today, most of his projects are available on the French label emouvance. This concert offers a special meeting space with Lebanese counterparts Sharif Sehnaoui and Tony Elieh; a chance to confront various styles on similar instruments in an improvisation format.
