Fall for Print: Beirut Art Book Fair – Second Edition

Fall for Print returns to Beirut Art Center for its second edition, bringing together artists, publishers, printers, collectives and independent practitioners from across SWANA and the Global South.

For three days, BAC becomes a space for books, zines, prints, editions, archives, catalogues, pamphlets and everything in between.

The book fair features independent publishers and small presses, printmaking studios and risograph collectives, artists producing printed matter, artist-run initiatives, collectors of archives and ephemera, and exhibition and institutional publishers.

This edition features a special publication in collaboration with Wide Open Newspapers. Photographers based in Lebanon contributed to a photo-only newspaper exploring the residual digital image: the traces, fragments, and afterlives of images beyond their original form; how they are forced to change in print. What comes after an image has decayed? Is a newspaper more fragile than a pixel?

The newspaper features analogue, digital photography, found images, archives and photographic manipulation.
