On the first Saturday of April, Beirut art center will host a seed swapping event in collaboration with soils permaculture association Lebanon*. Throughout the afternoon everybody is welcome on the terrace of Beirut art center to exchange seeds from plants that grow in their land or fallen from nearby trees or plants. Seeds, then, will be given away in return for other seeds to plant in your garden, on your balcony, or in the wild. The event will involve participants from landversation Beirut project by artist Otobong Nkanga who have been engaging in talks with the visitors of Beirut art center throughout the duration of the exhibition. it offers a moment to think and to enjoy discussions, learn more about agriculture and what plants need, their benefits, and the ecosystems that are reactivated around observation of natural patterns. you are free to join and have food and drinks, ask questions and rediscover the wonderful aspects of the green kingdom.

Beirut art center organizes a seed ball-making workshop by soils association. This is a workshop where both children and adults can make their own seed balls: seeds wrapped in their own bundle of nutrients which the participants can take away with them, and plant them anywhere they want or simply throw them outdoors where they can thrive and grow on their own in nature.
