“In this laundry list of concerns, considerations and questionings, we reflect on the “terms of coming together” invoked in the BAC’s prompt for this edition of the micro-commissions. From our standpoints as Qorras’ three core members, we outline in these slides some of the politics and practices of care and maintenance that we encounter through our organizing, knowledge production, and everyday life. The lists overlap, break apart, and weave together the terms of our coming together with one another and with our peers. Far from having answers to what may sound like questions, we suggest instead to build elements of response through our work as a collective.”
Qorras is a group working on collecting, producing and disseminating queer feminist knowledge on issues of gender and sexuality. Based in Lebanon, our work focuses primarily on the Levant and MENA region, while collaborating and networking with allies and peers across the Global South.
