The Camelia Committee

The Camelia Committee is Mira Adoumier, Carine Doumit and Nour Ouayda. They are filmmakers, film editors, writers, and programmers. Together, they form a collective in-the making that explores hybrid forms of writing in and through cinema. Based in Beirut, their work also calls out to other territories.

During their residency, they are developing the structure of the collective as a cooperative model of production and representation in cinema, one that investigates the ways in which the individual and common practices intertwine, and that reflects on what it means to form a collective today.
