Yalda Younes – Zamharir

“Locked down, 2700Km away from each other, Khyam Allami would send me his demos, and I would respond in play.”

This mini-choreography was posted as a story by Younes while she was self-quarantining in Beirut. This gesture was the inspiration for the theme of this first round of micro-commissions entitled All Hands on Deck, and concludes the cycle.

Yalda Younes was born in Beirut in 1978, it is by chance that she dedicates herself to dance.
